Hometown Urgent Care & Workcare Center continues on its path of aggressive expansion. Now it has acquired two urgent care facilities in Columbus. The acquisitions are effective June 1, 2010. Hometown has added many new features to the newly acquired urgent cares in terms of more hours, more services, more covered insurances and more savings for the Columbus communities.

New features added to the newly acquired facilities include expanded coverage for patients with all insurances including Medicaid programs like Caresource and Molina. The scope of services is also expanded to add comprehensive occupational health services for the area employers besides urgent care services. Hometown's facilities are DOT and BWC certified and offers DOT/Non-DOT drug screens, physicals, work injury care, respiratory tests, hearing tests and other employer services including services at Employers' sites.

The hours of operations are also expanded. In addition, Hometown brings many ways to save for the families and employers of the communities. Hometown has in-house prescription program where the patients can get most of the medications at $5/-. Average dispensing time is less then 7 minutes resulting in tremendous convenience and savings of time and money for patients. For un-insured patients, the cost of office visit is only $99/-. Additional procedures or testing if required are discounted upto 40 %. In addition, savings compared to ER for minor injuries can exceed over $1,000/-. For area employers who don't offer health insurance, they can take benefit though Hometown Discount Card which allows office visits at only $80/- per visit.
