Kaleidoscope, an independent film about a young woman's plans to end it all on her birthday, launched the Kaleidoscope Music Contest, accepting submissions of original music to be featured in the film

Indie Film Announces Call for Submission for Music Contest Musicians vie for a track on the Kaleidoscope film soundtrack in Kaleidoscope Music Contest Kaleidoscope, an independent film about a suicidal young woman's plans to end it all on her 21st birthday, launched the Kaleidoscope Music Contest, accepting submissions of original music to be featured on the soundtrack. The first phase of the contest will be determined by a panel of five judges, including musician and label head Tim Armstrong of Rancid and Hellcat Records, respectively, and music aficionado and journalist, Ali Maclean. The finalists will be each of the the judges' picks, and 5 selected by popular vote. For the second phase, filmmaker Avital Ash will choose the track best suited for the film, in conjunction with score by Jon Levine, musician and producer best known for his music with Canadian band, Philosopher Kings, and work with Nelly Furtado and Fefe Dobson.
