Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Trainees Visit Biwater's UK Headquarters

Online, October 23, 2013 (Newswire.com) - At Biwater's UK Headquarters, Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) trainees enthusiastically discussed inward investment opportunities with the Biwater Team yesterday.

Focused on boosting domestic and foreign direct investment, BKPM trainees spoke about their varied roles in the organisation and initiatives aimed at driving future growth and development in Indonesia.

In turn, BKPM trainees learned about Biwater's extensive water and wastewater projects across the world, including relevant regional projects such as:

• Batam Island Water Supply Concession:
Providing over one million island inhabitants, in a rapidly growing area,
with potable water; reducing non-revenue water from 49 to
30 percent over the first 10 years of operation

• Malaysian Rural Water Supply Scheme:
A flagship scheme that incorporated 134 projects in one contract, providing the remaining 4.25 million rural inhabitants with piped treated water, across a 4,000 kilometre expanse
