Indoor Play Equipment Manufacturer And Supplier House Of Play Today Announced That UK Climate Change Is Boosting The Indoor Play Industry
Online, August 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - House Of Play, a UK indoor play equipment manufacturer and supplier, today announced that climate change in the UK is driving in business for the indoor play industry.
Over recent years the weather around the world has been slowly changing and becoming more erratic. In the UK people have experienced this in many different forms, from droughts in the winter to hail storms in July.
These weather changes are unavoidable and mean that summer seems to be occurring much later in the year than usual. This has resulted in a lot of bad weather when children have finished school for their summer holidays, and means that they can't play outside in this time off like they normally would.
Indoor play centres are businesses that offer parents a place that is safe, cool and dry for their children to play in while they sit down and relax. The changing climate has resulted in more parents using indoor play centres as somewhere to take their children to play, as they can't take them anywhere to run around outdoors.
This has provided a boost to the indoor play industry where there is usually a lull in business, as during the summer children often spend time playing outdoors with their parents. A customer service representative from House Of Play added, "This summer we've had more customers in our indoor play centre, Astrabound, than we've had at this time of year for many years. The reason for this is that there's nowhere for children to play outdoors when it's raining. The late summer has meant that parents have brought their children to indoor play centres because they didn't want them to just sit indoors all day."
Children have six weeks holiday every year, during which they want nothing more than to go out and play with their friends in the sun. However, with the summer being more rain than sun this year it has meant that parents need to find alternatives for their children during their time off.
Many indoor play centres around the UK have been reporting an unexpected surge in business over recent months due to children being out of school but not able to play in the rain.
House Of Play is the UK's number one manufacturer and supplier of indoor play equipment. They have a wide range of products which they produce for indoor play centres based in the UK. They also now offer their services to play centres in Europe that may be experiencing the same summer surge as UK play centres have been.
