INDUSEM 11th Annual INDO-US World Congress of Emergency Medicine

ghaziabad, India, September 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Invitations are being extended to everyone for attending the 11th Annual INDO-US World Congress of Emergency Medicine. INDUSEM 2015 is to start from 30th September and is to go on till 4th October at one of the premier institutes for medicine in India, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in the heart of New Delhi. This time, the theme for the world congress has been decided as synergising science to sustain systems. The institute is to organise skill workshops, faculty competitions and a lot more while conducting the congress.

This is a level one international meeting that is dedicated to emergency, trauma and disaster medicine which is to be specially hosted by ACEEI and is also a collaborative effort of Santosh University of Ghaziabad and AIIMS, New Delhi.

History Behind INDUSEM

The INDO-US Emergency and Trauma collaborative effort includes the University of South Florida (USF), Baroda Medical College-SSG Hospital, SUNY Downstate and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The partnership also has the helping hand of the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine. The collaborative effort took place in 2005 at New Delhi in India while adopting the academic institutional partnership ideology.

The INDUSEM leadership has faith in the MCI recognised academic institutions which are crucial in developing such academicians in handling emergency and trauma that are latest academic sciences in themselves. Therefore, it was felt that an all academicians meet up would be ideal to discuss science and policies to promote the specialty in Indian subcontinent.

Since 2005, the INDO-US Emergency Medicine Academic Summits have been attended by almost 3000 delegates annually. Such meetings take place with many workshops and conferences throughout the country that has trained almost 10,000 delegates till now.

Santosh University

This year the event is being organised under the patronage of Santosh University, which was founded in 1995. The university offers M.B.B.S, B.D.S, M. Sc. and Ph. D. courses in different disciplines of medicine that are approved by Dental and Medical Council of India. The institution runs on the mission of education, research and service. It aims to prepare such biomedical students and healthcare professionals who can offer excellence in caring for patients, be adaptive to change, attentive to others needs and accountable for outcomes.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences

The organising institution, All India Institute of Medical Sciences is counted among the premier institutes for medical education, treatment and research in India. It has also earned the sobriquet of the temple of modern India apart from being a centre for excellence in the Southeast Asia. Thus, it was established as an autonomous institution in 1956 under a Parliament Act to impart education in almost 42 disciplines.
