Invents Releases "The No Slip Sleeve", Keep Hot Drinks In Place In The Cup
New York, NY, January 7, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Many people enjoy soup, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or other hot beverage in the disposal cups that are sold at fast food restaurants, coffee shop chains, convenience stores and other establishments. What they do not enjoy are the standard cardboard sleeves that commonly accompany the beverage cups. These sleeves easily slip off, causing one to drop the beverage and create a mess, staining expensive clothing and burning themselves. Now, patrons can safely enjoy their warm beverage at home or on-the-go without fear that the sleeve will slip off. The No Slip Sleeve is a line of hot drink cups and matching sleeves specially modified with interlocking capabilities. It provides a more secure cup and sleeve combination that actually locks into place so that one is better able to maintain a sure grip, preventing spills and burns.
The Patent Pending No Slip Sleeve was invented by Patrick Mauge of Hermosa Beach, CA, who said, “The most unique aspect of the No Slip Sleeve system is its incorporation of interlocking components. The cup has a small, linear notch near the bottom of the cup and the sleeve has a rectangular tab extending down from the inside portion of one side of the sleeve which slides into the cup notch. The sleeve tab acts as a “notch catch”, so as the sleeve slides up to the cup to its highest point, the tab locks into the cup notch and stops the sleeve from sliding side-to-side or back down the cup.”
"Both fast food restaurants and places such as name upper scale coffee (and tea) shops will benefit from using the No Slip Sleeve. It is secure, locks into place and is safe to use."
Patrick Mauge, Inventor
The inventor added, “The notch is located on the side of the cup where the two ends of the cup's materials connect and overlap to ensure that none of the liquid contents in the cup come in contact with the sleeve once it has been slid into place. For retail purveyors of hot coffee and tea, this product helps mitigate the risk of consumers being burned by scalding liquid and greatly lessens their potential liability from patrons being injured by their product due to faulty sleeves.”
