Ireland leading renewable academy to boost job prospects

Co. Mayo, Ireland - 18 Jan. 2010 - One of Europe's leading renewable training academy's to put all its courses online for just 99 dollars to help boost employee job prospects around the world.

The National Energy Training Academy, a government approved and funded renewable installer academy, today confirmed it has started to put its course content online through a new eLearning training system to try and help the job prospects of employees around the world.

Under the terms of the arrangement, the National Energy Training Academy will provide its very popular centre courses through its new online college. NETA's in-house courses will still run as normal for individuals who can attend the centre.

According to NETA Marketing Manager Caroline McAndrew: "NETA is reacting to a wide spread of requests from the market to facilitate online access to its expertise. NETA courses are based around solar power, wind power and other renewable technologies and everybody who has lost their job or is trying to retain their current job is looking to add green economy knowledge to their CV's".

"This announcement means all courses will go online at only 99 US Dollars thanks to government funding support, approx 68 euros and we expect big demand for access. These courses normally cost up to 2,000 US dollars (1,400 Euros) in the centre; added Ms McAndrew."

Commenting on the planned boost to access to individuals seeking access to this type of training, Ms McAndrew stated: "The centre will help develop the skills of jobseekers worldwide. The courses are not just technical, they cover regulations, business, industry and deployment strategies. Every employer now wants employees who understand energy whether they are an employee, manager, accountant or specialist. Students can even ask for specific modules to be added."

Speaking about the announcement, Ms Mary Stewart, Centre Administration Manager; "This is a major boost. President Obama has stated that he will create 5 million jobs nationally in the US, every other country is on a major green mission and people need access to the education to help them get these new green jobs. NETA is using its social responsibility policy to help drive this initiative."

Established in Ireland in 2007, NETA is a government supported REIA Academy, (Renewable Energy Installer Academy) and provides certification for installers of renewable energy systems for Ireland and the UK (NI). NETA is based in Mayo, the country's primary region for Wind and Wave Power expertise.
