Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics Teams Up With Texas Communities to Be Part of the Solution
DALLAS, May 4, 2020 (Newswire.com) - In a time when we may be running low on reasons to smile, there's beauty in our community banding together, with Texans helping Texans. Here's how we are helping:
Spreading the word that dental emergencies don’t belong in the ER.
Supporting local schools by donating Jefferson Dental kits to place in school to-go lunches.
Partnering with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar to support a local restaurant and the community, offering Jefferson Dental kits with to-go orders.
Actively working to be part of the solution by taking precautions to protect patients and Jefferson Dental team members.
Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics is passionate about uplifting our Texan communities during the current pandemic. Your mouth is your first line of defense against germs, and a good oral healthcare routine will help remove infectious bacteria and prevent it from invading your body. We feel strongly about actively working to be part of the solution.
“Every Texan is part of the solution” – Governor Greg Abbott
Dental emergencies don’t belong in the ER. Every 15 seconds, someone goes to the ER with a dental emergency. ERs and urgent care centers around America are at capacity addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Most ERs don’t have the personnel or equipment necessary to treat dental emergencies. To reduce overcrowding in the ERs, Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics’ Community Outreach Manager, Deliris Acosta, has safely visited over 100 ERs and UC facilities in the DFW area, letting them know that Jefferson Dental can help patients in pain get the dental care needed.
“We are passionate about caring for our patients and uplifting our community, day in and day out we’ve worked to be part of the solution and found ways to come together. We believe in Texans helping Texans”
- Adam Arnette, CMO at Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics
Given that our mouth is our first line of defense against germs, we want to help everyone with their oral hygiene. We have donated hundreds of dental kits to Julian T. Saldivar Elementary School and Logan Elementary School to include in kids’ lunches. We also partnered with Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in the Dallas area to include Jefferson Dental Kits with to-go orders.
“I have been truly inspired by my team during this time, everyone stepped up. Whether they had to work on the front lines or cheer from the sidelines we came together to help our fellow Texans in their time of need.”
- Mick McCormick, CEO at Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics
As the Shelter-In-Place order comes to an end in Texas, we understand that a new “normal” needs to be established. As our offices reopen to resume offering all dental and orthodontic services starting May 1, we want our patients and our community to know that we value their health. We are taking every precaution to protect patients and our team so that our patients trust that we are able to provide the care that they need in a safe environment.
We take pride in offering a variety of ways for patients to pay for treatment, including a Dental Discount Plan for patients without insurance. We know that the COVID pandemic has hit Americans hard and we want to help patients take care of their oral health during this challenging time.
We will overcome this together. Triumphing over challenges is who we are as Texans.
