Online, January 21, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Amy Nix, founder and designer of nix&stones jewelry line, has partnered with Tri-County Crisis Center, Inc. in NY in support of domestic violence reform and homicide prevention.
Proceeds from Nix's signature piece, the Domestic Violence Angel Wings Necklace, will directly benefit the center and provide funding for victim support, homicide prevention, awareness campaigns and agency operation. The jewelry is hand-made in the US and each piece is unique. In the past, Nix shared her passion with victims of violence by teaching the trade of jewelry making to victims at shelters.
"Domestic Violence and homicide are on the rise in the Hudson Valley. My goal is to provide Tri-County Crisis Center support with the proceeds of the Angel Wings to ensure that domestic violence related death is prevented through the work of the center. I hope to spread awareness of domestic violence and the need for reform in our country by supporting this agency and the wok that they do." Amy Nix.
Domestic violence and homicide prevention is the vision of Tri-County Crisis Center, a homicide prevention agency founded in response to the rise in domestic homicide in the Hudson Valley region in NY. The agency has developed a new victim service model based on direct services and support and is working to reform victim resources statewide in an effort to eradicate domestic violence related deaths. TCCC is a grassroots agency leading the domestic violence reform movement on the East Coast.
"Our agency is proud to have Amy Nix as a supporter. As a new volunteer organization that serves high-risk victims of violence, it is important to have the funding and support necessary to operate and provide services to victims in need." Maria DiBari, President of Tri-County Crisis Center, Inc.
