Jo Ann Koontz to Speak at 'Surviving 2012' Workshop

Online, April 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Attorney and Certified Public Accountant Jo Ann Koontz will speak at a "Surviving 2012 and Beyond" workshop at a joint meeting between the Financial Planning Association of the Suncoast and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Koontz will discuss the complicated tax issues related to foreclosures, short sales and debt restructuring. The workshop will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., at the Laurel Oak County Club, 2700 Gary Player Blvd., Sarasota, Florida.

CFP and CPA professionals can earn up to three hours of continuing education credit.

Koontz practices in the areas of real estate, business law and taxation. She represents clients in a wide variety of business and real estate matters, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, short sales, S corporations, partnerships and LLC formation and reorganizations, as well as the tax implications of business and real estate transactions, including purchases and sales of assets and equity interests.
