Josh Eisen Suspends Congressional Bid

Satisfied with quality of current candidates in Primary

Josh Eisen is suspending his campaign to represent the 17th Congressional District of New York in Congress. Josh commenced his involvement to ensure that a Republican candidate runs after two elections in which Democrats ran unopposed. Before entering the race, Josh sought out several strong Republican candidates in an effort to convince them to run for the seat. After Nita Lowey dropped out, Josh again stayed in touch with potential Republican candidates, notifying them that he would defer his candidacy should they choose to enter the race. When four candidates entered the race in late January, Josh reassessed the state of the race. Difficulties in gathering information about other candidates tentatively kept Josh in the race. At this time, Josh believes that the party is well served with a primary. Should conditions change, Josh will reconsider his options.
