Largest Left 4 Dead 2 News Site For Sale!
Online, December 16, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Established in June 2009, the first news site dedicated to Valve's video game Left 4 Dead 2 has gained massive popularity among the fans of the game, as well as those needing help with getting the game to run on their computer or games console.
In December 2009, the owner of the website, a UK based Internet Marketing company IM Publishing Limited, has decided to sell the website by listing it at an internet auction at an Australian auction site Flippa.com.
Commented by Janar Konsa, the Marketing Manager for IM Publishing: "The final decision to sell the website was made already in November, after seeing how popular the website got when Left 4 Dead 2 was officially launched."
"Our main business here at IM Publishing is developing and publishing material related to Internet Marketing and maintaining websites is simply a side-venture. This particular website was started by one of our employees who later decided to sell it to the company and re-selling it on a public auction was our main exit strategy ever since the purchase", Konsa added.
The company decided to list Left4Dead2 .org for sale at Australian based Flippa.com mainly because this is the largest marketplace dedicated to auctioning websites, as well as because it had had previous success using their services.
Left4Dead2 .org is for sale at a starting bid of $150 and even though there is no reserve price set for the 3-day auction, the company hopes to see a winning bid that exceeds $2,000.
