Lebanon Day Celebration At Boston City Hall Plaza - Sponsered by the WLCU-Boston Chapter
Online, July 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The World Lebanese Cultural Union worked very hard in the last few years to raise visibility of the Lebanese-American community in the city of Boston and the contributions it made and continues to make towards the enrichment of our beloved city and the great success of our esteemed Nation.
In recognition of the Lebanese-American contributions, Boston's Mayor, the honorable Thomas Menino, made a declaration last year at the WLCU annual Lebanon's independence day Hafleh, announcing a yearly celebration in the city of Boston, referred to as "Lebanon's day" where the Lebanese flag will be raised at Boston's City Hall and in conjunction with that the Lebanese community will organize a day of festivities to take place at Boston's City Hall Plaza.
We are very proud to announce that the first annual "Lebanon's day" will be held on Thursday September 13, from 11AM to 7PM EST. We plan to have cultural exhibits, music and dancing, Lebanese food, sweets, handcraft and cultural artifacts.
Please join us in this celebration and help make this event a great success.
