Living Poetry Features Alice Osborn as February Poet Local

Alice Osborn will host Living Poetry's Poet Local on Sunday, February 20th. Osborn will discuss her publishing career, writing practices and answer questions about her poetry books.

The Poet Local series explores poets' lives and writing styles. Osborn has taught hundreds of writing workshops in the Triangle area. She is the author of two books of poetry, Unfinished Projects (Main Street Rag, 2010) and Right Lane Ends (Catawba, 2006). A former Raleigh Charter High School English teacher, Osborn has served as a Writer-in-Residence in the Artists in the Schools program since 2009. Her work appears in Raleigh's News and Observer, The Pedestal Magazine, and in numerous journals and anthologies.

"Alice is one of the most active writers in Raleigh," said Angelika Teuber, Living Poetry's Organizer. "Most of our members are interested in publishing their poetry and will surely learn a lot from her experiences."

RSVP instructions are available at www livingpoetry net. The event takes place at 3PM on Sunday, February 20th at the Media Room of Ashley Park Apartment Homes of Brier Creek, 10300 Pine Lakes Court in Raleigh.
