Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame Honoree Dana Hersey Returns to The Film Detective for Exclusive New Year's Eve Interview

Local broadcast legend Dana Hersey joins The Film Detective's Don Stradley for an exclusive interview about Hersey's annual New Year's Eve Three Stooges Marathon.

Called "the perfect broadcast voice" by the Boston Globe, Hersey has been a longtime household name in New England. Host of such classic programs as Ask the ManagerWe Don't Knock, and The Movie Loft throughout the 1970s-1990s, Hersey has brought charm and plenty of laughs to thousands with his booming, resonant voice and trademark sweaters. An innovator of hosted television and reality programming, Dana Hersey is joined by The Film Detective's Don Stradley to discuss everything from the history The Movie Loft, to iconic Ask the Manager letters asking why so many Shemp episodes of The Three Stooges were featured, and the full inside scoop on local programming of the 1970s and 80s.

The Film Detective will release its New Year's Eve Interview with Don Stradley and Dana Hersey on December 31 at 5 p.m. ET, leading up to the New Year's Eve marathon on The Film Detective channel. The interview will be exclusively available on The Film Detective's YouTube channel, social media platforms, and website. Viewers may even be treated to the famous Dana Hersey sign-off.
