Mayoral Hopeful Wendy Greuel to Participate in Ovarian Cancer Run September 9th, 2012
Online, August 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California is happy to welcome Los Angeles City Controller and former President Pro Tempore, Wendy Greuel, for her participation in spreading awareness of Ovarian Cancer.
Wendy was the mayor's liaison to the city council and the community on public policy issues including child care, the homeless, the elderly, and health issues.
The Ovarian Cancer Walk Run was formed twelve years ago, after a survivor saw a lack of education and funding being directed towards Ovarian Cancer. The Run was founded with the goal of educating the public on the signs and symptoms while supporting research to help find an early detection method as well as finding a successful treatment.
