MedTouch Launches Hospital Quality Measures Website

Online, November 4, 2009 (Newswire.com) - MedTouch launched their new Hospital Quality Measures website this week which provides information on how top hospitals are reporting their quality data to patients. The data consists of over 100 of the nation's top hospitals and their reporting of patient safety, patient satisfaction, quality measures and mortality rates.
"Quality has become a huge initiative in many hospitals and it will continue to be a major measuring tool for a hospital's long-term success", said Matthew Dillingham, Managing Partner. "Patients need to know how good a hospital is in regards to quality and a hospital should be transparent with all of that information. The quality website was created to provide a benchmark in order to see where hospitals stand against their competition. Besides the quality measures data the website also consists of a blog that will provide quality best practices, case studies and discussion revolving around how hospitals report their quality data.
"I hope this site is a resource for hospitals that will allow them to better understand the importance of reporting their quality data in clear and concise manner," continued Dillingham. The site lists hospitals from the 2009 U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals report. Beyond providing data on specific measures the site also displays how easy it is to find the quality data on each hospital's site, as well as provides a form so that new hospitals can be added to the list.
