Microsoft New Smartphone To Make You Smile
Online, October 11, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Microsoft have announced that their new Smartphone, Windows Phone 7, will truly integrate with the things that people want to do to give them a new user experience.
Microsoft say that "When you first get the phone, the stuff that's more obvious makes you smile,". The device will show real-time content tiles that include social media updates and provide an elegant experience according to Andy Lees, Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business president.
The phone, say Microsoft, takes a different approach to many of the current app focused models. The focus is on 'tiles' which update real-time and can be stacked on the Start screen.
A feature called Hubs, or categories if you like, will contain specific content items. For example, the People Hub will pull in photos from Facebook as well as containing contact information. You can respond to a message or update directly from the Hub without launching a specific app.
The new phones will be available from Samsung, HTC, LG and Dell. The device can be bought in some European markets from October 21st and by the time of the holidays in the United States.
