MphasiS Promotes Abhijit Shetti to Vice President and Chief Technologist

Online, October 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - MphasiS, a leading IT services provider, today announced the promotion of Abhijit Shetti to Vice President and Chief Technologist to support its expanding domain specific technology competencies and leadership in key industry verticals.

In his new role, Shetti will be responsible for managing the Enterprise Web Technologies, Mobility and Security Practices. He will also oversee MphasiS' internal Technology Council, a group responsible for the direction and vision of the company's solutions, collaborations and expertise. Drawing on his industry expertise from a variety of verticals, Shetti will guide MphasiS' leadership team as the company continues to adapt to the changing technology landscape.

Shetti brings over 17 years of experience in the IT solutions and operations space, specializing in technology led business and operations optimization and transformation. In his 11 years at MphasiS, Shetti has played multiple roles spanning project management, architecture and consulting on technology and operations across several industries. With his ability to bring a business perspective to IT, Shetti has demonstrated value in winning and growing several key accounts in the BFSI, Life Sciences and High-Tech verticals. In addition to his new role, he will continue to serve as Head of Technology and Solutions for MphasiS' HP Market Unit.
