NAD Electronics' Masters M33 BluOS® Streaming DAC Amplifier Awarded Top Honour by World's Most Prestigious Hi-Fi Press
Second Year in a Row that an NAD Component is Named Best Smart Amplifier by EISA
PICKERING, Ontario, August 15, 2020 (Newswire.com) - NAD Electronics, a leading manufacturer of premium home audio and video products, announced today that the M33 BluOS® Streaming DAC Amplifier from its flagship Masters line of products has won the 2020-21 EISA Award for Best Smart Amplifier. EISA, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association, is an independent body of over 50 specialty electronics magazines from around the world. The award winners are chosen as the best in their category from the thousands of products tested and reviewed by EISA member magazines over the year.
The editors of EISA’s hi-fi audio publications lauded the NAD Masters M33 for its combination of superior amplifier performance and premium streaming capabilities through the built-in BluOS® system, saying:
“NAD won this category last year with its compact Masters M10 – not just an amplifier but also a complete ‘just add speakers’ streaming system. This year it has comprehensively evolved the concept with its Masters M33, combining state-of-the-art Class D amplifier technology from Purifi Audio with in-house streaming know-how. The result is just about all the amplifier anyone could need, combining massive power and beautiful clarity and finesse with broad connectivity, streaming and DIRAC room correction, all presented on a large front-panel touchscreen. It’s definitely an amp for the third decade of the 2000s.”
“The M33 is part of our premium ‘just add speakers’ strategy, which follows the contemporary trend to simplify living spaces while retaining quality and convenience,” says Cas Oostvogel, Product Manager at NAD. “We believe that the M33, along with products like last year’s EISA winner, the M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, and the new T 778 BluOS Streaming Multi-Channel A/V Receiver, will be popular for their versatility, as much as for their audiophile-quality sound.”
With the EISA Awards now in their fourth decade and a membership including the leading audio journals from Europe, The Americas, and Asia-Pacific, the results are widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. Following intensive testing and audition by specialists at EISA member magazines, each journal submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category before being put through a democratic voting process to establish a consensus of excellence and determine the winning products.
The M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier is available at select premium audio retailers around the world.
