New CCD Grain Sorter

Online, September 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Spectrum Industries, a world-leading manufacturer of color optical sorting equipment and cleaning and grading machines, has introduced the SPECTRUM S-4001 Camera Based Channel Color Sorter- a new high-resolution color camera sorting system.

Using High Resolution 2048 pixel line scan CCD Cameras it is ideal for sorting small/medium size food grains like wheat, corn, rice, cereals, beans, peas, dehydrated onion and garlic flakes, barley, flax seeds, mustard, lentils, oats, soybean, sorghum seeds, pulses, nuts, and fruits etc. It is particularly suitable for ergot, foreign grain, and stone removal from wheat, black tip removal from durum ejected by mechanical separators, separating impurities and producing a uniformed product output.

This state-of-the-art sorter is available in operating capacities between 40 bushels/hr. to 320 bushels/hr. It scans over 6000 scans per second, has ultra-fast pneumatic ejectors, online calibration and self-checking procedures and is fully computer controlled. It delivers better sort quality, minimal loss of good product, multiple product sorting capability and minimal operational costs.
