New update for the PebblePad online Personal Learning System.

Online, November 16, 2009 (Newswire.com) - In the latest release of the PebblePad online Personal Learning System, users are now able to draw upon items they create using common online tools such as Twitter, Blogger, and any other RSS or ATOM enabled system. This means that a wide range of items from documents to webpages or video links can now be imported straight into PebblePad and then used as a personal resource to support development or for incorporation into a presentational portfolio. PebblePad is used for Personal Development Planning, Continuing Professional Development, Learning, Teaching and Assessment in schools, colleges, universities, professional organisations and local government.

The release of PebblePad 2.4 also sees the introduction of a Moodle 'block' which allows users to save records of their learning, for example quiz results or discussions, directly from the course management system into PebblePad. This new tool ensures that learners can continue to access evidence of learning even if the Moodle-based course is no longer available to them.

The development of an interface 'theme builder' means that institutions with an enterprise licence can customise the look and feel of PebblePad to complement their own institutional branding - whilst still allowing users to choose from one of the interfaces in the built-in library or to create their own.
