Nourish Organic Market To Host Opening Celebration In Grand Rapids
Online, October 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Nourish Organic Market will celebrate their official Grand Opening on Saturday, October 8, from 12 to 4 by inviting the community to join in a family-focused celebration of local and organic food-a " Real Food Fair" at its new location, 634 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids.
Families and individuals looking for nourishing, organic food in West Michigan finally have a retail option. Rather than traveling to multiple locations at specific times to obtain fresh, locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, pastured meats and dairy, and other sustainably produced local foods, shoppers can visit Nourish Organic Market for 'real food' in a convenient, grocery store setting.
The Grand Opening Celebration will feature many of the local food producers that supply the store. Familiar names such as Mud Lake Farm, Grassfields, Contreras Coffee and Egypt Valley Angus will be there along with some producers less well known in the area such as Reformation Growers, Lubelle Dairy, Mindo Chocolates, and River Valley Farm -- all providing samples and talking about how they make the food we eat.
The Silver Spork will be there with a menu featuring food supplied by local producers. Several local music groups will provide entertainment. A number of area food-related non-profit organizations will provide information and activities as well.
Families are encouraged to bring their children. There will be farm animals to feed, as well as food-related crafts and activities for children. Drawings and giveaways will add to the festive time. All activities at the Nourish Organic Market Grand Opening are free.
Nourish Organic Market is committed to helping families and individuals eat 'real food'. Every choice at Nourish is a good choice, as it is organically grown, and locally produced whenever possible. Nourish provides the community with a convenient source for organically grown fruits and vegetables and animal-based products from grass-fed and pastured animals free from chemical fertilizers, herbicides, Genetically Modified crops (GMOs), animal confinement, and factory farming. More information about Nourish is available on their website www.nourishorganicmarket.com and on Facebook
