Opsview Launches Free Version of Enterprise IT Monitoring Solution

Opsview Atom delivers free access to the full functionality of Opsview's network, server and applications monitoring platform for up to 25 devices

Enterprise IT systems monitoring software specialist Opsview, has unveiled Opsview Atom, a free version of its advanced enterprise IT monitoring solution. For the first time, IT professionals and system administrators will have free access to comprehensive business service monitoring, advanced reporting and analytics, and centralized management of network configurations on up to twenty-five devices.

Opsview Atom benefits IT professionals by delivering a fully functional version of its subscription-based Pro and Enterprise IT monitoring system. IT professionals and sysadmins are now free to use the software, whether they are looking to hone their skills or make an organization’s IT monitoring more effective.

Opsview Atom replaces Opsview Core, the current limited, free product. While existing users will be able to continue to use Core, Opsview Atom brings a host of additional functionality and true network monitoring capabilities to ensure the availability and performance of critical IT systems across multiple platforms and locations from a single screen.

“Opsview wanted to do more than provide a glorified free trial version that in essence lacks the functionality today’s System Administrators need to effectively monitor enterprise IT systems,” said Michael Walton, CEO of Opsview. “Not only does Atom deliver the complete suite of tools available in the Pro and Enterprise versions of Opsview, it has fully supported codebase and will benefit from Opsview’s commitment to provide comprehensive improvements and enhancements as part of our long term product roadmap.”

Opsview is easy to use, and can be rapidly downloaded and implemented – even the most complex IT environments can be up and monitored within minutes. With full Business Service Monitoring, SMNP Traps and dashboard visualizations, Opsview allows sysadmins to monitor any IT environment from a single pane of glass, helping them easily cluster and group processes that are critical to certain functions and pinpoint exactly what devices need attention. The IT monitoring software also features a number of integrations such as with service desk technologies like ServiceNow, Jira, VictorOps and many others, to help sysadmins more quickly respond to issues.

Beyond the technology features, sysadmins also benefit from being a part of the wider Opsview community, which shares technical tips and fosters networking with others who might be experiencing similar problems or obstacles with IT administration.
