1.)Evening Lantern Tours
The 2nd part of this event will be held on October 28 at 7:00 pm and 8:15 pm for 50 minutes. Outer Banks residents are encouraged to join the costumed interpreters on a night tour inside the house of a grieving widow. Residents will be able to explore the distinctive and unusual ways that Victorian families grieved the loss of their loved ones. Residents will also be able to listen to storied of the farm's former occupants and journey by lantern light to their resting place. The space is limited and reservations are required. 2.)Trick or Treat Under the Sea
This event will be held on October 27 at the North Carolina Aquarium situated at Roanoke Island. The event will start at 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm. This "spooktacular" event will give entertainment mostly for kids as they greet ghost and bizarre aquatic creatures. Count Sharkula will be the host and entertain the kids to have ghoulish fun. Crazy creepy crafts, costume contests, spine-tingling scream contest and delicious munchies are just some of the programs the kids can anticipate in this event. 3.)Fall Coat Harvest
This event will be held on October 29 and hosted by Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church & merchants of The Marketplace located at Southern Shores. This event only occurs every October to be able to collect & provide to people in need with a warm coat - free of charge! The collected coats throughout the month of October will be disseminated on October 29, 2011 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at 5551 N.
