Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil Holds 4th Annual Blood Drive

Online, October 24, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil held their 4th Annual Blood Drive in August at their Atkinson, New Hampshire appliance showroom, where 31 people came together to do their part to help with the major blood shortage that is being reported across the country. The drive, which was held with the cooperation of the American Red Cross, was primarily attended by Palmer Gas/Ermer Oil employees and was supported by Friendly's Restaurant who provided coupons for a free half gallon of ice cream for each donor.

In recent years, the company has sponsored a Propane Safety Training Program with the Pelham, NH Fire Department to teach fire fighters all aspects of propane gas safety, and recently organized and conducted the Sixth Annual Safety Day for all their employees as well as for important local and statewide safety organizations. The extensive Safety Day training sessions focused primarily on keeping employees, customers and response personnel safe.

The safety day training included sessions about preventing work-related injuries; spill prevention and clean up; a review of Department of Transportation regulations, as well as other safety and service guidelines for drivers and mechanics; and overall tank safety.
