Portland Church Turns Into Avalanche Ranch for Halloween
Online, October 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Avalanche Ranch (LifeGate Baptist Church, 208 SE 148th Ave.) will be having a (free!) rootin' tootin' good time kickin' up our heels on Halloween night!
It isn't safe to Trick-or-Treat like it was when we were kids. You can't trust the people and you can't trust the treats. Also, with so many parties it's dangerous to be walking along the road these days!
Avalanche Ranch will be staffed by church members that all look like cowboys and sheriffs. There's going to be games galore and prizes to boot! Something for everyone, there's even an area for tired parents to sit and watch the events from the comfort of a chair.
Kids can be active and rambunctious while having safe fun in a safe place. If they take a liking to a particular game, they can play it again and again, as long as everyone gets a turn. Each game gives away some sort of prize that can range from candy to small toys and more candy.
It only lasts for two hours, from 6 - 8pm on Sunday night, but that's plenty of time to get a heapin' bag of candy and spend a bushel of energy! Plus, it's still early enough to do something else, if they have any energy left.
Don't forget, and tell your kids to bring their friends, too.
