Re-branding Signals Big Opportunities For 123gaming
Online, August 5, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Today sees the launch of an exciting new brand in gaming as Racingworld Technology is re-named 123gaming to mark the successful growth of its 123racing.com handicapping game in the US while reflecting the Company's strategy of extending its range of online skill-based games.
Originally a freeplay game, 123racing.com was quickly taken up as a marketing tool by prestigious racetracks in the US and Canada. In October 2009, 123racing was launched in partnership with a major tote operator as a real-money 'pick 6'-style wager at a series of US race tracks and off-track betting venues, where thousands of race fans can now play the fun, simple and exciting pools-based game. 123gaming is also planning to make the 123racing wager available online in the US and UK later this year.
Robert Earle, CEO of UK-based 123gaming, said: "The success of our freeplay game certainly helped gain the necessary partnerships and approvals in the US to go live with a new pari-mutuel wager. The Survival handicapping contests we operate for New Jersey are among the most popular in North America. Our game has been proven to increase tote handle by providing extremely useful informative information to punters who follow our top 10 leaders and make wagers based on their successful winning picks."
Punters outlay $2 for a 'Pick 6' and are awarded points if any of their selections finish first, second or third. Those accumulating points are ranked on an interactive leader board, competing for the top three spots for a share of the pool payout.
Players also benefit by staying in the game even when they don't win or place in early races. As points are awarded based on the win, place and show payouts, players can easily come from behind to move up the leader board. There is always a winner in 123racing, with the top three points scorers taking a share of the payout at the conclusion of the event.
123gaming is planning to launch its 123racing wagering product in partnership with its US-based partner in the UK and Europe, creating larger pools by co-mingling. The potential application for the technology into sports and other activities is a key focus for 123gaming over the next few years. The Company has rights to several associated domain names and is looking at ways to achieve maximum growth.
Robert Earle of 123gaming added: "After growing this business steadily over four years, we're now ready to apply the 123 formula using a range of interactive platforms including online, social networking and mobile."
