Remarkable New Holiday Fundraiser That Celebrates Creative Writer, Storytelling & Art

Each year, TACC's Winter Holiday fundraiser sells the Charity Calendar, celebrates an artist and tells a beautiful story, written in relay-style by 25 different talented writers. First episode of this fictional story premieres online December 1.

TACC Foundation is proudly launching a creative community fundraiser that has never been done before - using fine art, relay-style creative writing and storytelling. The purpose of our fundraiser is to raise funds for TACC's mentoring programs, Inspire A Mind in a unique way. More about Inspire A Mind: http://www.taccfoundation.org/programs.html

TACC Foundation sells a beautiful holiday calendar online called The Charity Calendar. This paper Charity Calendar interacts with one extraordinary fictional holiday story written by 25 talented writers in "relay-style" writing. Audiences will open a "window" on the paper Charity Calendar each day in December, starting Dec. 1 and concludes Dec. 25. After opening the numbered window on the Charity Calendar, the audience will visit our website to read and follow along our daily episode of the continuing magical fictional story. The daily hidden Charity Calendar picture will give a clue of what is happening in the online fictional Holiday story.

The fictional Holiday story is created by a diverse group of 25 writers who generously agreed to donate their talent and time to this new art project and fundraiser. Each writer has written one episode of the story and handed it off to the next writer - who continued the story where the previous writer left off. This takes a lot of storytelling skills, imagination and teamwork from our group of writers.

The majority of the writers are from LA and Santa Barbara, and a few on the east coast. The first episode of the story will be published online Dec.1. See list of writers here: J Bisch, Anais Borg-Marks, Amy Katz, Beth A. Bartels, Tom Coombe, Eve Wood, Michelle Orozco, Laura Roberts, David Starkey, Jennifer Strube, Anthony Cadot, Lisa Angle, Monique Bloedau Alonso, Bruce Hale, Holly Hoffman, Gwen Harrod, Margaret Bacon, Alise Wade, Suza Kates. Tayler Hammond, Vienna Lulu Chartrand.

Inspire A Mind mentoring programs provides character building and inspiration by exposing youth to art, cultural events, science, gardening, cooking & positive eating habits, yoga - all via hands-on learning and doing.

Inspirational people from our community will join us in hands-on projects; and some will give speeches about their lives, families, dreams, work and passions. Our mission is to inspire children and teens to find their passions, confidence and encourage them to pursue their dreams in life.

The Charity Calendar is sold online at Amazon.com or on the TACC Foundation website: http://www.taccfoundation.org/calendar. All profits are donated to Inspire A Mind Programs.
