Richard T. Coleman's New Audiobook 'Superior Passage' is a Riveting Dramatic Saga Set in the Rugged Landscape of the U.S.-Canadian Border in the Early 20th Century

Recent audiobook release "Superior Passage" from Audiobook Network author Richard T. Coleman is an engrossing work of realistic fiction chronicling one man's life-changing adventure in the American wilderness in the 1930s.

Richard T. Coleman has completed his new audiobook "Superior Passage": a compelling novel depicting a seasoned sailor's experience when he is alone and shipwrecked in the unforgiving wilderness of the American north.

After many years of commanding a fleet of square-riggers, Shotty Murphy has found a life of adventure following the paths of great explorers in his beloved sailboat, Nattily Ann. All is well until one beautiful day, while plying the cold waters of Lake Superior, a storm catches him off guard. Wrecked and far from help, he must devise his own rescue.

Author Richard T. Coleman was born and raised in Milwaukee. He served as a military freight pilot during the Vietnam War. He received his captain's license at an early age and has found great joy in the art of teaching others to sail.

Author Richard T. Coleman writes, "I managed to make my way to the mouth of the St. Mary's River on my way to Lake Superior back in the year 1937. I sailed and motored my 36-foot sloop up the St. Mary's River and through the locks that slow the flow of Superior's waters into Lake Huron. The river drops in excess of 20 feet in its trip from Lake Superior to Lake Huron. The two days of motoring and locking through the St. Mary's River had given me a look at a new country that was exciting and seemed incredibly foreign to me."

Published by Audiobook Network, author Richard T. Coleman's new audiobook is a spellbinding novel that draws listeners in with its authentic details.

Audiobooks are the fastest-growing segment in the digital publishing industry. According to The Infinite Dial 2019, 50% of Americans age 12 and older have listened to an audiobook. This huge growth can be partly attributed to increased listening in cars, which surpassed the home as the #1 audiobook listening location in the 2019 survey. Smart speaker proliferation also bodes well for future listening growth and more mainstream listening.
