Salman Jaberi Launches Rave Scout Cookies, a Multimedia EDM Platform Devoted to Bolstering POC and LGBTQ+ Talent

NEW YORK, February 3, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Rave Scout Cookies is a multimedia underground electronic-music platform devoted to bolstering a diverse roster of underrepresented and undiscovered People of Color and LGBTQIA+ artists, talents, and ravers. The core of our brand is inspired by the Boys and Girls Scouts of America. To be a Rave Scout is to be inclusive of all inhabitants of our planet - regardless of one's ethnic background, social status, disabilities, gender, or sexuality. RSC is a collective of ravers who want to support and propel each other forward.

RSC's Founder and Creative Director, Salman, embarked on his journey within the rave realm when he moved to London for college at the age of sixteen. He coincidently crossed paths with a flock of goth ravers after getting locked out of his apartment one morning and slumped into a four-day time-warp hole, attending industrial warehouse raves and after-parties in East London. 

Rave Scout didn't come to fruition overnight; the platform roots and is weaved out of my string of memories, music, raves, and people I came to encounter throughout this lifetime.

His professional involvement in the scene, however, came to fruition when he moved to the United States in 2015. His passion for dancefloor & rave politics soared as he dived deep into the underground queer techno community, gradually emerging him from the fog and illuminating his purpose of creating change and making a positive impact on some of the defaults within the underground scene.

So far, the URL based rave venue consists of a mix-series, online store, and events section though the plan for it is to become a six-pronged platform.

"RSC's five media outlets are a handbook/newsletter, podcast series, digital events, online store, check-in app, and a third-party booking agency and networking app," Jaberi told Resident Advisor in November. "The RSC bi-monthly newsletter will illuminate a variety of topics such as POC/LGBTQ+ rave heritage and genealogy, drug harm reduction [and also feature] the vulnerable intellection behind every talent, raver and platform making notable contributions to their scenes and communities."

​​Rave Scout Cookies plans to launch its online store in the next week with its first product line, a kitschy series of candles offering electronic music lovers an array of scents for their home. Rave Scout is also due for publishing its first-edition handbook by the end of March 2020.
