Online, August 12, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Scilabs Nutraceuticals, Inc.™, an industry leader in nutraceutical manufacturing, today announced it has expanded its operation's facility by 30,000 sq. ft to meet the growing demand of its clients and business growth. In addition, the company has appointed Jim Shires as its new Vice President of Sales.
The facility expansion will provide more room for fulfillment, production and storage, while additional encapsulation and tableting rooms will be built. The company will also be adding sample pack machines for powder, tablets and capsules, as well as a blister packaging machine. This expansion will allow clients to use Scilabs' manufacturing facility for fulfillment and warehouse storage at a reduced cost, eliminating the need for them to outsource this service.
"Scilabs has a strong commitment to continue building a strong executive team and provide a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for its clients," said Paul Edalat, Chairman and CEO of Scilabs Nutraceuticals. "Jim brings a solid background and track record, and we are really looking forward to him helping us grow the business even more."
Jim brings more than 15 years of experience in the sports nutrition industry. His role at Scilabs will be to organize and facilitate the company's clients, such as All Pro Science, Inc.™, and bring them into major retailers.
Before joining Scilabs, Jim served as Vice President of Sales for industry leaders Met-Rx, Next Proteins and Chef Jays. Prior to that, he spent 20 years in sales and marketing with Warner Lambert/Burroughs Wellcome in consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. Jim also spent seven years as a professional hockey player, playing with several NHL teams such as the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins.
