SLE Hospitality Officially Launches Social Media Division

In a time when having a social media presence is a business requirement, SLE Hospitality has formally launched a new corporate division dedicated solely to the creation and maintenance of hospitality Facebook pages.

In a time when having a social media presence is not just "something we'll get to" it's a business requirement, SLE Hospitality has formally launched a new corporate division dedicated solely to the creation and maintenance of hospitality Facebook pages.

"The influence and impact of social media, both positive and negative, are so dramatic. In 2010 we have seen companies racing to find qualified and successful models for replication," says Samantha Christopher, founder of SLE Hospitality. "We quickly recognized that a social media presence was not a task to be delegated to the summer intern. To be truly successful, a hotel or restaurant needed to create a presence and a following. That effort doesn't happen overnight, and it takes marketing savvy. That's where we come in."

Primarily a pricing strategy and revenue management consulting firm, SLE Hospitality has now dedicated an entire team to social media. Facebook, now the world's most visited website, has been their primary focus. According to Ms. Christopher, "last year we focused on our top 25 consulting clients. This year, we expect that number to reach our top 100. Clients are realizing that missteps in social media can have an immediate effect on their business, and it cannot be left to chance."

With reduced staff and budgets for marketing, companies are stretched thin and in many cases are unable to dedicate internal resources to social marketing. That has been the key to success for the SLE Hospitality Social Media Division. At just $199 per Facebook page and $99 per month for maintaining the site, creating dialogues and continually seeking out more "fans", SLE Hospitality has become quite the bargain - especially compared to the cost of hiring a social media manager or risking the reputation of the company by delegating the responsibility to a junior associate.
