Small Town Comedy Group Departs Friday For Nationwide Charity Tour

Online, August 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Wooden Steel Productions comedy group will depart this Friday August 27th, 2010 to travel across the country filming a new documentary movie entitled Skittin Across America: "Skit-A-Palooza" with all proceeds going directly to the Chris Farley Foundation. The foundations mission is to empower kids to use comedy when confronted by pressure from their peers to use drugs and alcohol.

In the summer of 2008, Wooden Steel Productions produced its first comedy DVD "Skittin Across America" and donated all their earnings directly to the foundation. Based on the success of the first tour, Wooden Steel Productions began raising money through Fundraiser events in March for this and planned to go around the country late in the Summer to shoot their second film. "Chris would have loved something like this", said Tom Farley (Chris Farley's brother and founder of The Chris Farley Foundation)

Starting this Friday, Skittin Across America: "Skit-A-Palooza" will travel to Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Orlando meeting with Celebrities, Musicians and Media Outlets along the way. Skit-A-Palooza will be a 10 day nationwide movie scavenger hunt re-enacting movie moments in real life. "You just might see one of us dressed as Spiderman, hanging from a tree upside down in Central Park next week", says Shane Hartline Wooden Steel Productions founder.

Wooden Steel Productions goal is to continue "Inspiring the Aspiring" to never give up on their dreams and to always do what you love. This DVD, produced by aspiring filmmakers, is a testament that if you have an idea, act on it and pay your rewards forward, others with similar goals can achieve their dreams too.
