Smile CDR Now Available Worldwide in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Microsoft Azure customers worldwide now gain access to Smile CDR to take advantage of the scalability, reliability and agility of Azure to drive application development and shape business strategies

Smile CDR

Smile CDR, an enterprise-class FHIR-based data platform that solves persistent healthcare data collection and sharing challenges, today announced the availability of its solution on Microsoft Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Azure.

Smile CDR users can now take advantage of the Azure cloud platform, with streamlined deployment and management.

The Smile CDR platform is a commercial offering that enables people and organizations to better manage and evaluate healthcare data. Built on Smile CDR's open-source project called HAPI FHIR, a collaborative, internationally adopted industry-standard framework for building applications and services, Smile CDR makes it possible for all types of healthcare organizations to easily connect and share information in a secure, safe, standardized and cost-effective way. By transforming previously complex, disconnected systems into ones that enable a free flow of critical data, Smile CDR reduces barriers, resulting in better care, healthier communities and the elimination of costly siloes.

"Health data services are critical to modern medicine, informing the continuum of care throughout the patient's journey. Our technology, combined with the Azure cloud platform, allows healthcare organizations to quickly and securely store, connect and share patient information," said Duncan Weatherston, CEO, Smile CDR. "The lack of interoperability is a big challenge in healthcare, driving cost and error rates higher. We offer the ability to reduce this burden and help countless organizations simplify one of the most complicated elements of healthcare IT."

"We're pleased to welcome Smile CDR to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, which gives our partners great exposure to cloud customers around the globe," said Jake Zborowski, General Manager, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. "Azure Marketplace offers world-class quality experiences from global trusted partners with solutions tested to work seamlessly with Azure."

The Azure Marketplace is an online market for buying and selling cloud solutions certified to run on Azure. The Azure Marketplace helps connect companies seeking innovative, cloud-based solutions with partners who have developed solutions that are ready to use.
