SoundStage Direct Releases Classic Blue Note Jazz Albums on Vinyl

Legendary jazz record label Blue Note offers audiophiles the chance to experience their favorite classics in all their glory. The new releases are on 12-inch LPs made of pristine vinyl and available through SoundStage Direct, LLC.

Doylestown, Pennsylvania - SoundStage Direct released jazz albums by Blue Note, the jazz record label that has attained near-mystical status. This is music to the ears of audiophiles and antiquarians alike since they can now experience their favorite classics in all their glory. The new releases are on 12-inch LPs made of pristine vinyl.

Devotee recognized Blue Note was the brain child of Rudy Van Gelder, an optometrist by profession in 1950s Hackensack, NJ. Van Gelder took time off each week to record jazz musicians in his parents' living room starting in the early 1950s. By 1959 the demand for his talents grew and Van Gelder, at age 35, quit his optometry practice to build a recording studio in nearby Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Michael Cuscuna, a record producer who has deeply plumbed the Blue Note archive, says: "Rudy went to see a lot of live jazz as a young man. His goal, as an engineer, was to capture that live experience on tape." And SSD, the online independent record store delights itself on being the master of LPs, releasing more new vinyl releases and vinyl reissues online. Last year, it has sold over two million vinyl LPs, a significant increase in two decades of vinyl music.

SSD has released over 50 Blue Note jazz titles, and still counting. Not only Blue Note titles for that matter, but it holds the largest selection of vinyl releases in all genres. At www.soundstagedirect.com, you'll experience the thrill of jazz albums and more!
