Springwell Assisted Living Renovation and Window Replacement

Online, May 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - HomeRite of Baltimore LLC (HomeRite) proudly announces the Substantial Completion of renovation work and window replacements at the Springwell Assisted Living Facility in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Baltimore. The work was performed under a contract with Springwell Assisted Living. A Substantial Completion Certificate was issued by the Baltimore City Code Enforcement Division in April 2012.

The contract work included renovation of approximately 30,000 square feet of institutional space and the replacement of more than 300 existing wood windows. Work started in April 2011 and was completed in April 2012. Springwell's management were "extremely pleased" with the quality of the workmanship and the expedited schedule.

The Springwell facility remained occupied during the renovation and window replacement work. As, such, the work required careful coordination with the facilities day to day operations. The renovation work included selective demolition, metal stud framing, drywall, and finish carpentry. For the window replacement portion of the contract, HomeRite chose their Distinction Series 1650 double hung window with Low E and Argon glazing. This glazing system will provide UV protection for the lifetime of the window. The contract also required caulking on the project to carry a 10 year warranty.
