Stay Alfred Named One of Washington's Best Workplaces

Spokane Valley-Based Hospitality Startup Makes List by Puget Sound Business Journal

Stay Alfred, the hospitality startup that pioneered the travel apartment concept in the alternative accommodation space, was recently named as one of “Washington’s Best Workplaces.” The Business Journal’s annual countdown of the state’s top workplaces is based on anonymous employee surveys, assessing employees’ perceptions of company culture, trust, leadership, benefits and perks, and more; the survey results were scored by Quantum Workplace to determine the finalists.

“Being named one of the best workplaces in the entire state of Washington is a great achievement and a testament to years of dedication and hard work by Stay Alfred leaders,” said Jordan Allen, CEO of Stay Alfred. “We’ve seen incredible business growth driven by consumer demand for alternative accommodations, and with that, the expansion of both our teams at our Spokane Valley headquarters and our remote staff in each of the cities in which we operate. This recognition is completely based on employee feedback, and although it’s no easy feat to create a cohesive culture across 33 cities, we’re creating something special together. I’m so proud of our entire team.”

Stay Alfred has hired more than 200 new employees across the nation in the past twelve months, including over 80 in the Spokane region.

Qualities that make Stay Alfred one of the best workplaces in the state include a competitive benefits package with guaranteed pay increases, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k options after one year of employment. Employee perks also include hosted lunch and learns every Thursday, complimentary snacks and drinks, plus access to an on-site gym, basketball court, outdoor volleyball court and picnic area at the office.

In addition to being named one of Washington’s Best Workplaces, Stay Alfred has been named one of the “Best places to work in the Inland Northwest” in 2018, currently holds a rating of 4.6/5 stars on Glassdoor, and for the past three years-in-a-row has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

The final rankings will be revealed at the Washington’s Best Workplaces event at T-Mobile Park on Oct. 9 and published in the Oct. 10 print edition of the Puget Sound Business Journal. Companies are categorized into one of four lists based on employee count: more than 250 workers, 100 to 249 workers, 50 to 99 workers and 10 to 49 workers.
