Symphony Math Recognized by Evidence for ESSA for High-Effect Mathematics Solution

BOSTON, April 7, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Symphony Learning LLC®, an established leader in mathematics interventions, announced that its Symphony Math® program has received a “Promising” rating from the independent review organization Evidence for ESSA. The rating confirms that Symphony Math meets Federal standards under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for demonstrating evidence of efficacy.

The study cited by Evidence for ESSA compared the use of Symphony Math by students district-wide in Graves County, Kentucky, during the 2018-2019 school year. During the school year, 1,203 students from seven schools participated in the study. Using a third party measure, 579 students who used Symphony Math improved dramatically when compared to students who used the standard curriculum. The study showed an effect size of +0.30, an improvement recognized by What Works Clearinghouse as “substantively important.”
