TakeLessons Amps Up Brooklyn Music Teacher Roster To Prepare For Holidays
Online, November 29, 2011 (Newswire.com) - USA Today recently published an article about how music helps retrain injured brains, proving once again the power and influence of music. Music therapy is increasingly used to treat many health problems, from brain injury to aging.
TakeLessons (http://takelessons.com), the nation's fastest growing private music lessons provider, is also committed to keeping music a part of people's lives. Their teacher roster includes many instructors with music therapy training, although students take private lessons for a variety of reasons. In response to student demand, TakeLessons recently announced a boost to its teacher roster in Brooklyn, NY.
Brett C. will teach drums to students of all ages, and is expected to be an excellent addition to the TakeLessons program.
All TakeLessons instructors complete a 7-step certification process to ensure students receive lessons from safe, experienced and friendly instructors. TakeLessons has created jobs for certified teachers in over 2,800 cities. After a 7-step interview and certification process, instructors have access to internal marketing efforts, an online account to track their income and schedules, and a large support staff to help them throughout the process. Teachers then have more time to spend on lesson plans, rather than the business transactions and paperwork.
As a graduate of Jazz Studies at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Brett has a strong resume of performances, including Fox Weekend News, the NCAA March Madness Festival in Detroit, the Brooklyn Museum, and several jazz clubs around New York City and Detroit. Brett is now a faculty member at the Brooklyn Conservatory, in addition to privately teaching at his studio, and he also performs with his group The Brooklyn Project.
"One of my ultimate goals in teaching," said new teacher Brett, "is to help my students develop the skills and knowledge to not only be able to play well, but to also be able to teach themselves and others."
Since its launch in 2006, TakeLessons has helped students pursue their passion for music by offering over 35 types of private music lessons that are taught by some of the nation's most talented local music instructors.
The addition of TakeLessons music teachers in the Brooklyn area and areas such Jersey City, Newark and Trenton builds upon TakeLessons' emerging presence throughout the Tri-State area. TakeLessons offers private music lessons to thousands of students in over 2,800 cities across the United States.
