Team Jeff Stoughton starts strong with five wins and no losses at the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier curling championship. On Wednesday night, Stoughton will face off against Alberta's Kevin Martin, who at 4-1, is his biggest competition in round robin play.

Stoughton has bested British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Northern Ontario. He leads the pack halfway through tournament play in London, Ontario.

Representing Manitoba at the Brier, the team is comprised of Jeff Stoughton (skip), John Mead (third), Reid Carruthers (second) and Steve Gould (lead). Stoughton has been curling for 31 years and has won nine provincial championships, two Brier championships and World and Players championships.
