The Albrights Open For Fountains of Wayne At Thursdays At The Harbor

Online, June 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Thursday At The Harbor officially begins on June 7, 2012, bringing nationally known musicians such as Seether, Matt Nathanson, Young the Giant, Arrested Development and many more to grace the stage at the Buffalo Harbor. Fountains of Wayne, who entered the spotlight in 1999 with their hit "Stacy's Mom", will also make an appearance on June 28, 2012. Western New York label Buzz Records is proud to announce that The Albrights, a pop-indie rock band they signed in 2011, will be opening for Fountains of Wayne. The Albrights will open at 5:00pm at the Buffalo Harbor. The concerts at Thursday At The Harbor are free and open to the general public.

Awarded Best Original Act at the 2012 Art Voice Awards, The Albrights are very popular in the local Buffalo music scene and have begun small tours around the nation to promote their debut album, "Ask, Tell." In pursuit of their passion, The Albrights have broken out of any molds that the music industry has created. They're soulful. They're versatile. They're real. They're different. Most importantly though, they're real musicians and put the music before the money. The Albrights deliver emotional live performances and a guerilla gigging attitude influenced by The Beatles, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Muse and the folk/bluegrass style. Buzz Records was founded in 2011 by Grammy-nominated producer, Anthony Casuccio and successful business partner and lawyer Steve Kantor: two successful yet ultimately very different individuals looking to provide the industry with a fresh, unique and much needed new approach. There are too many record labels out there that are trying to sign bands that fit the mold of pop culture and will produce one big hit before something "better" takes their place.
