The Atlanta Pitch Summit Invites Submissions from Tomorrow's Star Writers, Producers and Show-runne
Online, October 12, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Atlanta Pitch Summit offers the creative community access to industry gatekeepers. Producers, writers and show-runners of tomorrow are invited to pitch projects and ideas to prominent executives in the motion picture and TV industry.
The summit takes place from November 3rd thru the 5th at the Georgia Tech Research Institute Conference Center (across from GPB) in midtown Atlanta-the City dubbed, "Hollywood of the South" in a recent magazine cover story, in recognition of the boom resulting from Georgia's competitive tax incentives.
"Many emerging creatives want the opportunity to pitch TV shows and film ideas, but aren't certain on the process," says Ty Johnston, the event's founder and producer. "The Atlanta Pitch Summit will show them what to do, how to do it, and give access to key industry decision-makers."
Tailored with up-and-comers in mind, workshops have been strategically designed to give the educational factor on learning the processes of pitching, packaging and production. Industry executives will also offer helpful pointers about how to get a "green light."
Entertainment entrepreneurs-the star producers, writers and show-runners of tomorrow-are invited to submit works (treatments, pitches, pilots, scripts and sizzle reels) in advance of the Summit for consideration. Winning submissions will receive complimentary passes to the summit, and VIP meetings with panelists. Everyone who submits will receive $50 off summit registration.
The Atlanta Pitch Summit is the opportunity for those to GET HEARD and GET ACCESS to the industry. "You only have one chance to make a first impression." Selling your idea as a TV show or film has become relevant and mainstream. "Getting a meeting with LA and NYC producers, agents and networks sometimes feels daunting, however this summit brings brokers to Atlanta looking for fresh ideas-and the next big thing," promises Johnston.
