The Big Countdown to Oprah - Aussie Small Businesses Roll Out the Red Carpet!

Online, November 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Oprah in Oz - Welcome Campaign so far features27 businesses welcoming Oprah to Australia and inviting her to sample their goods and services.

Organiser Michael Russo from Mad Productions Australia says businesses film an enthusiastic welcome video which is then posted on You Tube.

"The campaign is going viral with a big presence on Facebook and You Tube," said Mr Russo.

"We think Oprah will notice the warm welcome we're rolling out and we hope she takes up some of the offers from the small businesses involved," he said.

"It's been a great way for small businesses to get some extra promotion during her visit."

"We've heard rumours that she knows about us and members of her Harpo Productions team are monitoring our You Tube channel and Facebook page."

Mr Russo said it wasn't too late for small businesses to get involved. "We're still filming videos and uploading them, so I invite any creative small business owner to get in touch."

Companies already involved include Wendy's Ice Cream, VIP Home Services, Boost Juice, Contours Fitness for Women, Australian Volleyball Federation, author Amanda Cox and members of the Special Olympics Team (among others).
