The UCCRF Associates Board Raises More Than $40,000 To Fund Cancer Research

Annual gala encourages young Chicagoans to support The University of Chicago Cancer Center.

The University of Chicago Cancer Research Foundation (UCCRF) Associates Board hosted its annual No Tie Ball, raising more than $40,000 to aid in cancer research.

"This year's No Tie Ball proved to be a huge success" said Justin Ullman, president of the UCCRF Associates Board. "The money that was raised is very meaningful, funding cutting edge Immunotherapy research at The University of Chicago Cancer Center."

The more than 150 guests participated in a silent auction, bidding on items like a White Sox luxury box, a "Be a Rock Star For A Day" package and a bottle of Armand de Brignac signed by the Chicago Bulls.

"The University of Chicago Cancer Research Center is making incredible progress towards using the immune system to overcome cancer," said Ullman. "The Associates Board is proud to aid research efforts through events like the No Tie Ball as the fight to end cancer is a very personal crusade for many of us."
