Three-Times Success For ENER-G

Sustainable energy group ENER-G has been announced runner-up in the EEF North West Region Business Growth Award and was also highly commended in the Outstanding Export Award category.

Sustainable energy group ENER-G has been announced runner-up in the EEF North West Region Business Growth Award and was also highly commended in the Outstanding Export Award category.

The annual awards are hosted by EEF, the manufacturers' organisation, and recognise excellence in enterprise, innovation, environmental performance and skills development among UK manufacturers.

Commenting on ENER-G's achievements, the EEF judges, led by Cranfield University, said: "We are particularly impressed with ENER-G's strong strategic decision making and good portfolio of offerings that make it a total energy solutions provider. Exporting is a major factor in the company's overall growth and, with success in entering offshore markets and a dramatically enhanced workforce, this company is set to continue on this path."

Salford-based ENER-G has also been shortlisted for the inaugural Insider International Trade Awards for its success as a global low carbon technology provider.

Twenty-eight companies and two universities from across the region are set to battle it out at the event, to be held on 7 December at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester.

ENER-G has operating companies, joint ventures and partnerships in 17 countries, including the UK, Hungary, USA, the Netherlands, Romania, Lithuania, Italy, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Mexico and Spain, with partners in Canada and across Western and Eastern Europe. International sales account for approximately half of group turnover.

Products and services include: combined heat and power (CHP), biogas and methane gas utilisation for power generation; geothermal energy ; heat pumps ; efficient lighting ; air conditioning; building energy controls; metering and data solutions; new generation energy from waste; energy and water management and energy procurement services .
