Thursdays on the Coast Carlsbad

Online, February 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Carlsbad, CA... Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) presents Thursdays on the Coast, "The Experience". Formerly named the Artwalk the event is a free community affair offering shopping, dining and visual and performing art experiences with the events being held every fourth Thursday of the month through October 2011.Thursdays on the Coast, "The Experience", Celebrate...its opening night!

The CVA commends the first of a group of sponsors who have agreed to step forward and participate in the event. The Paradise Cottage, Olde Ivy Antiques, HomeLife Village Realtors, Renaissance, Institute of Music, the "new" Phantom Gallery, and the Oceanside Gallery are cornerstones of this event. Their foresight into the participation of growing, developing and moving forward with new ideas and concepts has created "The Experience" in Carlsbad and it has become a part of their idea in how a community should share in the benefits it has to offer to it residents and visitors alike.

Included in the fine dining and shopping available will be regional artists displaying their art in galleries both established and newly organized, live art demonstrations, and music, so don't miss out on all the great venues on State Street, Grand Avenue Carlsbad Village Drive. Business hours will be later for participating sponsors affording everyone with the opportunity to explore the downtown and village. "The Experience, brings a new vitality to the village and creates a fun and engaging evening destination for all ", said Cheryl Ehlers, Event Manager for the CVA.

Self-guided walking maps will define the sponsor's locations, existing and "new" art galleries established throughout the Village of Carlsbad and all participating venues with specials, and raffles. The event hub for programs and walking maps will be located at HomeLife Village Realtors, 500 State Street, until we have procured another location.

We are continually seeking participants, sponsors and donations to put this event in the forefront for the public. We need your participation to bring this event , once again in public view.
