Up In Arms Teen Web Series Scores Distribution
Online, July 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Wild Monkey Productions' hit live-action series Up In Arms scored distribution interest last month with "Hungry Games" starring Alex Dale (Ink) and Madison Curtis (Disney's Kickin It). The production will release its first full length episode in July called "Miscommunication." The show garnered interest for a cable tv deal and is expected to start pre-production for thirteen episodes.
In "Miscommunication" Alex and Madison debate about who can communicate better - guys or girls. Alex argues girls play games and Madison contends guys have no manners. They recruit Ivan Quijano as a detective to investigate a teen communication dating situation. After none of the questions have been answered, Alex returns to the studio and discovers that Perfect Strangers girl group (Madison Curtis, Kelsey Chao and Yvette Tario) has accepted an invitation to perform on his web show. Perfect Strangers perform their self-titled song which enamors the audience. Next, Cole Barba (The Muppets) and Soren Bryce (Disney Get Connected) hatch a plan to investigate what the public actually knows about the recently celebrated 4th of July. After Cole is charmed by a leprechaun and Soren Bryce has her microphone taken over by a chatty parrot, the gang decides they are just ready to hit the beach. Meanwhile, Barry G, the barista, nearly chokes our detective on his new coffee bean concoction. The episode also features a musical performance by Perfect Strangers of their debut song "Perfect Strangers." Theme song courtesy of Drew Lane (Bring It On), Drew Right Music.
Up In Arms was created and is written by teen actor, Alex Dale. "Miscommunication" is co-written by Ivan Quijano. The show is entirely written and directed by the teen actors.
