WAF Clique started in the late 90's as a group of rappers. At that time it was more of a hobby working on community shows and events. The four members had Sierra Leonean backgrounds. They couldn't find the right marketing tool and members moved on. Some got married, had children and the movement in general lost its luster. Still they kept on recording in the studio honing in and perfecting their style. In 2007 WAF Clique was back and began looking for fresh talent. They produced a mixtape called "Kerosene" in mid 2009. At the same time, they were putting together a compilation of all the artist under WAFENT placed "Kerosene" mixtape for digital distribution with Cdbaby. WAF Clique is now working with one of the largest entertainment promotions company in the United States that is set to rocket WAF Clique to the top.

The lead single off of "Kerosene" is titled "Bottom to the Top". The significance of this single is to bring WAF Clique's sound from the unknown to worldwide recognition. It is the personality of the artists that shine through. With quick rap, quick tempo and a cool swagger, WAF Clique created a hot new sound which is a mix of old school, new school sprinkled with African influences. The music of WAF Clique is influenced by where they come from, their individual personalities and their life experiences.
