Wayne Baker Brooks Will Release His Latest EP "Tricks Up My Sleeves"

Blues Island Records anticipates the release of Wayne Baker Brooks' "Tricks Up My Sleeves EP" on July 31st.

CHICAGO, IL - Blues Island Records is set to release Wayne Baker Brooks highly anticipated
EP "Tricks Up My Sleeves" on July 31st, 2012. After his acclaimed debut CD Mystery, Brooks
once again surprises audiences with his modern approach to the traditional blues genre. Brooks
pays homage to the Chicago Blues Masters by incorporating samples of their work into his work.
Brooks utilized groundbreaking techniques and collaborated with a selection of today's hottest
multi-platinum selling artists. Thus, created a modern edge to the traditional blues sound.

Besides intensively working in world renowned studios such as, Record Plant LA, Blackbird
Studios Nashville, and Paramount Recording Studios LA, Wayne Baker Brooks maintained his
regular performance schedule and was featured and made live appearances on several daytime
TV shows. In addition to this, Brooks performed for world dignitaries during the city of Chicago's
"A Taste of Chicago" NATO delegation, and was the first Bluesman to perform at NATO
headquarters in Brussels. Furthermore, Wayne regularly joins forces with his father (Lonnie
Brooks) and brother (Ronnie Baker Brooks) to meet popular demand for Brooks Family Blues
Dynasty concerts.

With "Tricks Up My Sleeves" Wayne Baker Brooks once again demonstrates his appreciation
of his heritage, traditional blues, and his dedication to keeping this monumental American genre
alive by fusing it with a contemporary sound. The songs on this EP range from the classic blues
track "I Can Read Your Mind" featuring Sugar Blue, to rap-blues crossover track "Something's
Going Down" featuring Twista and GLC, to "Changeling" with a blues-rock sound. The EP caters
to a wide variety of music lovers instead of limiting to only one genre. The full-length album
"Tricks Up My Sleeves" is slated for a fall release. To make it an international launch, Wayne is
returning to Canada and Europe with his "Tricks Up My Sleeves Tour".

Wayne Baker Brooks has been steeped in music all his life. Although he was born as the
youngest son to a blues legend, he is self-taught and has earned his way by blazing his own
musical trail. In 1998, Wayne spearheaded and co-authored the book Blues For Dummies with
his father; rocker Cub Koda, and Oscar nominee Dan Aykroyd. In 2003 Brooks started his own
label, Blues Island Records. His first release was the four-star Mystery.
